I am Arshya Gaur an 18 – year-old author, ardent mental health advocate and an ambitious Edtech entrepreneur. I have authored a collection of poetry “How to open a Parachute” which explores my journey with anorexia and depression. My articles regularly feature in publications like India Today, The Daily O and The Business World.
2019 had been an important year for me as I got this incredible opportunity of being the youngest panelist ever invited to speak at India Today Conclave to address the pressing issue of mental health among teenagers.
Furthermore, I got HT City 30 under 30 award for my contribution in the field of literature in year 2022. I am currently in my year two at Stanford University pursuing my interests in Political Science, writing and technology.
My first- hand experience with anorexia made me so conscious of my body image and I slipped into depression during my college days. I didn’t know what was happening till the day I took charge of my life and I am still improving.
